This visa allows a child to stay in Australia permanently and live with their parents. With this visa, the child can migrate to Australia as a permanent resident, study, and access Medicare. Additionally, if eligible, they can apply for Australian citizenship.
To qualify for this visa, the child must be a dependent of an Australian citizen, an eligible New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian permanent visa. They should be under 18 years old, a full-time student aged over 18 and under 25, or over 18 and unable to work due to a disability. They must be single and reliant on their parents. Additionally, they need to be in Australia both when applying and when the decision is made.
